About Dr. Robertson
Clive E. Robertson, DNP, is a licensed Doctor of Nursing Practice at the Pain Specialty Group in Newmarket and Newington, NH. She received her DNP in 2020 at East Carolina University while working fulltime as a Registered Nurse CN II in the top-tier North Carolina Children's Hospital's Level III Neo-Natal and Pediatric Critical Care Units in Chapel Hill, NC (part of UNC's Health System). She also served as a Pain Resource Nurse for the Unit.
Dr. Robertson graduated from Syracuse University in 2008 with a degree in Health and Wellness and later earned both an Associate's and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with Honors, from the Pomeroy College of Nursing and SUNY-Delhi respectively. She worked first in a Level IV Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse before moving to North Carolina in 2012. In addition to her DNP, she holds a Master's Certificate in Business Foundations from ECU. Dr. Robertson has received numerous academic and nursing Honors. She is a member of several state and national nursing organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nursing Association. She holds several Nursing Certifications in various procedures. Dr. Robertson has presented her doctoral thesis research (Standardized Post-Partum Depression Screening in NICU Mothers) at nursing conferences, receiving a Research Award at one, and, prior to Covid-19, she was selected to present her doctoral research at a conference in Dubai in 2020. While at NC Children's Hospital, she sat on several committees, including the Pain Committee, serving as chair or co-chair. In order to support her community, Dr. Robertson volunteered as a Registered Nurse at a local free and charitable clinic serving low-income residents in and around Durham, NC.
Dr. Robertson brings a wide range of clinical skills to the practice as well as being a caring, comforting presence for patients undergoing pain-relieving procedures. She is interested in educating the "whole" patient to improve patient care and outcomes and supports a holistic approach to pain management.
